It is becoming an annual occurrence that the winner of the SEC championship gets the pleasure to play in the BCS Championship, and once again this is the fact this season. The Alabama Crimson Tide will be facing the Georgia Bulldogs at the Georgia Dome on Saturday at 4pm. Both teams are 11-1 and the winner will gain the right to face Notre Dame in the Championship game. A team from the SEC has won the last 6 BCS Championships, so both teams will be hoping they can continue this trend.

This game will feature the two most efficient passers in the nation, in Aaron Murray and AJ McCarron, however with both teams have top notch defenses, sports gambling fans should not be surprised if there are a few interceptions in the game. The team that can play better defense will win this game. Even though Georgia has two of the best defenders in the Nation, the Tide are coached by one of the best defensive minds in the game, so the edge will be with Nick Saban and his boys in red.

The best sportsbook in the nation has the Tide as the -8 point favorite, and I suggest that sports gambling fans stick with the reigning champions, and wager on the Tide to cover the spread, and win on the money line. Another option for sports gambling fans, is for them to wager on the under 51 points for the game, because this game will be a low scoring defensive slugfest. If the Tide can win this game they will set themselves up with the opportunity to repeat as Champions, and to win 3 out of the last 4 Championships.

With college football winding down, and most teams have only one game to play before the conference championship games and bowl games begin, there are still two undefeated teams left. Ironically one of the teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes are not getting any attention, because they are ineligible to play for a conference championship or a bowl game. It would be truly wild if they ended up winning the AP national title and then not be allowed to play for the BCS title game. If that happens you would have to think that sports gambling fans will always wonder if the BCS winner would have been able to beat the Buckeyes.

What the Buckeyes are doing is really a testament to how great of a coach Urban Meyer is. The guy comes to Ohio and in his first year he has them on the brink of an undefeated season, now that is what you call a winner.

The other team that is trying to complete the season with an unblemished record is the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. It has been 19 years since the Irish have had the chance to even be in the conversation for a National title, and with a win against rival USC this weekend they will have their chance to compete in the BCS championship game. Luckily for the Irish, QB Matt Barkley is injured and will not play, so the Irish should be able to win this game.

I would suggest to sports gambling fans to wager on the Irish to cover the spread and to win the game. I also suggest that sports gambling fans wager on the Buckeyes to cover the -3 1/2 points at home against Michigan. The only problem is that if both teams win and stay undefeated, sports gambling fans will not have the opportunity to see them play each other in the National Championship game.

The Oregon Ducks arguably have one of the most prolific offenses in college football and lead the nation in scoring per game with an average of 54.8 points. They are currently ranked 2nd in the nation and their only tight game this season was an 11 point victory over USC. They have been the most dominant team in the Pac-12 for a number of years, and this is evident from the fact that under coach Chip Kelly’s tutelage they are 32-2 in the conference. This Saturday they will host their division foes the Stanford Cardinals, whom they have beat their last 5 times in Eugene, and 4 of those times they have won by at least 3 touchdowns. In addition they have only lost to Stanford once in their last 10 games. All signs point to another blowout victory for the Ducks.

However, before football gambling fans crown the Ducks as the Pac-12 North division champions, they still have to beat a solid Cardinals team. The Cardinals lead the nation in rush defense by limiting opponents to only 58.8 yards on the ground per contest. This will be a very intriguing match-up because the Ducks rank 3rd in the country, gouging teams for 325.1 rushing yards per game. Nothing like a good old fashioned battle in the trenches pitting each teams strengths head to head. Whoever can be win this battle will win the game.

The current line on the game has the Ducks as the -20 1/2 point favorites, and football gambling fans are already piling onto the Ducks because they are following the past history. The Cardinals see this game as their championship game, so they are going to give the Ducks everything they have and keep this game a lot closer than most football gambling fans think. I would suggest using the best sportsbook on the web and wager on the Cardinals getting the +20 1/2 points, and even making a small wager on them to win on the money line for one of the biggest upsets of the College football season.

It is almost here, November 3rd, the date of the rematch of last year’s BCS championship. For a game that was supposed to be a tight contest, Alabama came out in the championship game, and just smacked LSU around with a 21-0 shutout. This weekend the Tigers who are currently ranked 5th in the nation will be hoisting their bitter rivals the Crimson Tide, who will be rolling into town as the nation’s number 1 team. Over the last two season these teams have combined for only 3 losses, and 2 of them were from their head-to-head match ups.

Both teams are very similar in how they play, using stout defenses, strong running games, and QB’s who try to avoid mistakes. Currently Alabama is first in the nation in points allowed with only 8.1 per game, and LSU is not to far behind ranking 9th in points allowed with 14.6 per game. The wise sports betting strategy is to expect the same stingy defense’s being on their A game for this match up. I would suggest using the sports betting strategy of picking the under 42 points for the game in this contest.

The Tigers have clearly had the tougher schedule so far, and will be facing their 4th straight team that is ranked. Whereas the Crimson Tide have only faced one team that was ranked in the top 25, and that was last week when they pounded Mississippi State 38-7. The current line has Alabama as the -9 1/2 point road favorites. I know LSU is home, and have played some tough teams this year, but to me they do not appear to be as good as last year. I think that this will be a close game for the first half, and then Alabama will put on the jet burners in the second half and leave the Tigers as dust in the wind. I suggest using the sports betting strategy of picking the Tide to cover the spread, and to parlay that with the under for the game as well.

With the movement of some schools to new divisions, college football fans will be entertained by some more competitive match ups between very good football programs. Both TCU and West Virginia joined an already highly competitive Big 12 division, and their top 25 status has made it that much more entertaining to follow. This weekend the College football will feature two games that have a top 25 showdown with all four teams coming from the Big 12.

17 Texas Tech at 23 TCU at 3:30pm – Both teams are 5-1, and both teams are coming off impressive victories against some quality competition. The Red Raiders had the upset of the week last week, pounding then ranked number 5 West Virginia 49-14. QB Seth Doege was the hero throwing for 499 yards and 6 touchdowns. He will need to be just as good this weekend because he is facing a team in TCU that has a lot better defense then the Mountaineers. The last 4 times that the Red Raiders have beaten a ranked team, they have unfortunately followed that triumph up in the next contest with a defeat. I would suggest that this trend will continue. The best sportsbook on the web actually has the Frogs as the slight home underdogs, getting +1.5 points. I would use the sports betting strategy of wagering on the Frogs getting the +1 1/2 points and picking them on the money line at +105.

4 Kansas State at 13 West Virginia- at 7pm – If it was not for West Virginia’s demoralizing defeat last week at the hands of Texas Tech, this would be a top 5 match up featuring two undefeated teams. The Mountaineers defense which is allowing 37 points per game, and is ranked as the nation’s 8th worst defense will have to find a way to pull it together if they want to have a chance against Collin Klein and the Wildcats. Even though the Wildcats are ranked 4th in the Nation, they still receive little national attention, however don’t be surprised if they turn some heads this weekend in Morgantown. The best sportsbook on the web Acesportsbook.com has the Wildcats as the slight underdog at +2 1/2 points. I would suggest to use the best sportsbook on the web and wager on the Wildcats getting +2 1/2 points and on them winning out right on the money line at +120.

Even though it is still the beginning of the week, there is no reason why football gambling fans should not look ahead to another great weekend of college football. Once again their are a handful of match ups this weekend that will feature top 25 ranked teams facing off against each other, in hopes of jockeying themselves for a spot in the BCS bowls.

15 Texas at 13 Oklahoma 12pm – Both teams only have one loss, and the winner of this game will most likely have the inside track on a chance to win the Big 12. The Longhorns suffered a hard fought defeat against West Virginia last weekend, but they will have to regroup in a hurry because Oklahoma has one of the best QB’s in the nation in Landry Jones, and their defense better be ready to play. Most football gambling fans are looking at this matchup and imaging a plethora of points being scored, however the Sooners have a decent defense, and the correct sports betting strategy would be to pick the under 61 points for the game. For the game I would expect it to be close and since it is at a neutral site I would take Texas getting the +3 points for the game, and for them to win on the money line.

17 Stanford at 7 Notre Dame 3:30pm – Both teams have played well above expectations this season, and as a result football gambling fans are going to be in store for a real slug fest. Notre Dame’s defense has been one of the biggest surprises of the college football season this year, with them only allowing 7.8 points a game, which is 2nd best in the nation. However, they will be facing a Stanford offense that is more stout and explosive then anything they have seen so far this season, so the correct sports betting strategy is that this game will have more than a few points being scored in it, and as a result the over 45 1/2 points for the game should be the correct wager. In addition I would suggest to football gambling fans to pick the Irish to win on the money line, but to pick the Cardinals getting the +8 points for the game.

At 3:30pm on Saturday sports gambling fans will be in for a real treat when the 4th ranked LSU Tigers travel to Florida to take on the 10th ranked Gators. Whoever can come out of this battle with the victory will put themselves in the driver’s seat for a chance at an SEC championship, plus a boost in the national standings.

Even though the Tigers are 5-0, they have struggled the last two weeks, narrowly beating a 1-3 Auburn team, and had a dog fight with a lackluster Towson team. If the Tigers can not wake up from their Indian summer slumber, they will be in for a rude awaking this Saturday, because the Gators have already beat up on 3 SEC opponents. The Tigers defense has been strong allowing only 217 yards per game, however, last week they were not at their best, when they allowed 188 rushing yards to Towson. The Tigers rush defense better stiffer up in a hurry, because Gators RB Mike Gillislee is a much better runner than anything Towson has to offer. The Gators have been very dominant on the ground this season, running for 224.5 yards per game, so this game will most likely come down to whether or not the Tigers can stop the ground game of the Gators.

The Tigers are 6-1 against the spread in their last 7 road games, however they are 2-5 against the spread in their last 7 meetings with the Gators. The Gators have had an extra week to prepare for this game, and they are 5-1 against the spread in their last 6 games following a bye. I would suggest to sports gambling fans to use the sports betting betting strategy of picking the Gators getting +2 1/2 points and for them to win on the money line, because they are home and have been the better team this year. The under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings in Florida, so I would also suggest the sports betting strategy of wagering on this trend to continue by picking the under 44 1/2 for the game.

The college football season is already in it’s 4th week, and the big top ranked match ups keep coming. This Saturday the 25th ranked Baylor Bears will travel to West Virginia to take on the 9th ranked Mountaineers. Football gambling fans should buckle up to their Lazy Boy and keep their eyes glued to the game because this should be a Yosemite Sam style shoot out.

The Mountaineers currently have the 3rd ranked passing offense with 370 yards per game through the air, and are ranked 10th in the nation in points scored with 47.3 points per game. The Bears have just as potent of an offense as the Mountaineers, ranking 5th in passing offense with 361.7 yards per game, and 5th in points scored per game with 51.3. It should be a wild west shoot out with each team having its own gunslinger disguised as it’s QB. The Bears have Nick Florence who has already thrown for 1004 yards, with 11 TD’s and 4 INT’s. While the Mountaineers have Geno Smith who has thrown for 1072 yards, 12 TD’s and 0 INT’s. If Geno Smith can have a big game and guide his team to victory, then football gambling fans should make a wager on him possibly winning the Heisman trophy this year.

The Mountaineers are 2-10 against the spread in their last 12 home games versus a team with a winning record, and the Bears are 0-6 against the spread in their last 6 road games, so neither trend is looking too good for either team. The current line has West Virginia as the -12 1/2 point favorites, and football gambling fans should jump on the chance to take the Bears getting +12 1/2 points, because I would even say there is an outside chance that they will win the game outright. The other option for this game is to wager on the over/under which is currently 79, this should have no problem of getting blown right thru, because neither team has a solid defense, so the play for football gambling fans would be to pick the over 79 points for the game.

The feature college game this weekend is at 8pm featuring the 10th ranked Clemson Tigers taking on the 4th Florida St. Seminoles in Florida. The Seminoles are a big -14 1/2 point favorite, however the wise sports betting strategy would be to take a closer look at this matchup before wagering on the favorite.

First of all the Seminoles are an impressive 3-0 and have only allowed one field goal this entire season, however when football gambling fans take a closer look they will see that the Seminoles have had a cup cake schedule thus far. Now they will finally be getting a real test against a very explosive Clemson Tiger team. Last season the Tigers were able to beat the Seminoles 35-30, aided by a spectacular performance from WR Sammy Watkins who caught 7 passes for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Seminoles will have to find a way to bottle up Watkins if they want to maintain their unblemished record. Even if the Seminoles can find a way to limit Watkins’ production, they will also have to slow down a very powerful offense equipped with talent players such as QB Tajh Boyd, RB Andre Ellington, and WR DeAndre Hopkins. This will be a true litmus test of how good the Seminoles defense really is.

These two teams are known for scoring a lot of points when they meet, with the over being 5-1 in the last 6 contests between these two teams. The correct sports betting strategy is to expect this trend to continue and pick the over 55 1/2 points for the game. The other sports betting strategy that I would recommend is that football gambling fans take a shot on the Tigers picking them getting +14 1/2 points and even wagering on them to win on the money line.

The 15th ranked Kansas State Wildcats will travel to Oklahoma to take on the 6th ranked Sooners at 7:50pm on Saturday night. This will be Oklahoma’s first real test of the season, and they will hope to put down the Wildcats in the same manner as they did last year, when they pounded them 58-17.

If the Wildcats are going to have any chance of keeping this to a close game, they will have to find an answer for Landry Jones, who torched them last year for 505 passing yards and 5 touchdowns. The Wildcats have 8 combined sacks in their last 2 games, and 3 from DE Adam Davis. This pass rush must be in full force on Saturday if the Wildcats want to disrupt Jones’ rhythm. Even if Jones has his typical efficient game, at least the Wildcats have a QB that can stand his own. Collin Klein has rushed for 210 yards and passed for 609 yards so far this season, and he will need to do a lot of both if the Wildcats want to keep up with the Sooner’s offense.

The Sooners have won 5 straight and 8 of the last 9 against the Wildcats. The Sooners have also won 42 of 43 games at home in Memorial Stadium, and have won their last 14 home games against ranked opponents by an average of 27.4 points since Stoops took over in 1999. Most football gambling fans are going to assume that the Sooners are going to continue to own the Wildcats, however with Collin Klein at the controls the Wildcats have a chance to pull off a monumental upset. I would suggest to football gambling fans to at least pick the underdog Wildcats getting the +14 points. The one sure bet for this game for football gambling fans is to pick the over of 58 points, because both of these teams are going to be able to put up some serious points.
